For someone who never liked go to the dentist I actually enjoy my time at Dr Stuan’s office. The staff is friendlier than just about anywhere, they are always accommodating and so helpful and kind. Dr. Stuan is a gem. He is patient, caring & kind. I don't even live in California any more, but I travel to Arcata once a year for my appointment with Dr. Stuan, because I am the worst dental coward you've ever met. One dentist told me I was the most nervous patient he'd ever had in his chair, and another said I made HIM nervous. Dr. Stuan makes sure my dental work is pain free. He's a skilled dentist, and his entire staff is wonderfully friendly and supportive. I highly recommend him!

I have been going to Dr. Stuan's office for many, many years and recommend him and his staff whole-heartedly. He has put in two crowns for me, both fitting perfectly. Whether going in for a cleaning, exam, or other dental work my visits are always pleasant, efficient, and professional. The office is located conveniently in down-town Arcata, and is very clean and nicely decorated with local art which I love looking at while sitting in the dental chair. The staff is super friendly and handles insurance claims with ease.

I have been going to this dentist office for 15t years or so…. I missed an appointment, then when my next appointment was 24hours away they attempted to change my appointment time to 30min earlier so they’re staff could start getting off work earlier…. That’s what they said. I called them the morning of my appointment to inform them I could not switch to an earlier time because I would still be getting kids to school. They could not accommodate.
A second phone conversation grew testy, and I hung up the phone once I learned they would not be able to fit me in for another 3months.
I just received a “termination of dental care” letter in the mail. Insulting to my relationship with this office because of how long I have been their client.
Honestly, ridiculous. They changed a long standing appointment they day before and were not concerned at all with the difficulty that caused me. Good riddance
