My son had a appointment made in July to come and have white caps put on for 2 cavities once they knew my son was nonverbal and autistic he wouldn't do the service and I was referred by my kids dentist to go to children's dentist the dentist told me this was just a consultation appointment and it wasn't. Then he offered to put a medication on my son cavities that would turn his teeth black for them to look rotten why would I do that when I came here because I didn't want my son to have silver caps very unprofessional plus I was referred here he was more concerned with my child disability then his cavities and I was informed his disability has nothing to do with that procedure his appointment was 01/09/2025 so the dentist said after the consultation I would have to wait another 7 to 8 months to do the white caps when I already was on the wait list since July of 2024

Visited the facility a week ago with my grandson and had the absolute best experience. I'm positive that he was a little nervous to have extensive work done, but the doctor (Dr. Kim) and the hygenist (Chandler) made this visit smooth and worry free for my baby and myself. Dr. Kim was so sweet and I can tell that he genuinely cared if my grandson had concerns while doing the procedure. Chandler was very kind and took really good care of him with cleaning his teeth before his other work. His bedside manners and professionalism was top notch.

I don’t know how this place is so highly rated…. My daughter was seen here after we spent hours trying to figure out where to park. The woman who saw my girl had no patience at all. Very stern, no humor - for a pediatric dentist, that is. She was nice to me and informative but lacked the patience needed for dealing with any child (especially one with a fear of dentists and doctors). In her defense, my daughter IS special needs (ADHD/ASD - which we did not know at the time of her appointment) and we were late due to unclear parking information. But it gave my kid an uncontrollable fear of doctors. Granted, my child is very sensitive despite the popular belief that she’s fearless due to her high energy and quirky behavior. Though the woman (whose name I cannot remember) gave me a lot of information, she told me that they couldn’t help us. They wouldn’t work with her and as such, couldn’t even look at her teeth.

Since then we went to see a dentist at Brock’s Gap who healed some of that fear but the damage was already done. At Brock’s Gap, she was fit in very quickly to be sedated and have caps put on 85% of her teeth.

There was also another dentist who wasn’t with Children’s who we saw and were great, though I can’t remember their information either. Both them and Brock’s Gap were so amazing with my daughter and had great patience which this place was lacking in.

I wish the woman we saw would have been better with kids, because she WAS very nice…. Just think maybe she should see adults instead of children.
Though maybe this was a fluke and her patience was running thin; we did see her in the afternoon, after all. But even if that is the case, when you’re working with kids especially, you’ve really gotta keep it together no matter the time of day or what’s going on in your personal life; it’s not the kids fault you’re in a bad mood.

I just hope that our experience isn’t a regular occurrence and we just got unlucky. Again, I liked the woman we saw; she was informative and nice (to me) - just nooooot with my kid. Actually, I will say that her behavior did improve some after a while and she was a bit more patient with my daughter. But still. Damage already done.

I think we’re going to be forced here again due to Medicaid - so we will see if things go better than the last time and if so, I’ll update this review. if not I’ll add onto it later.
