My son is 3 years old and autistic. It is very difficult to get him to get him to open his mouth, brush his teeth, and sit still. The dental hygienist was an angel! His patience and support was unmatched. Once I alerted him of my son’s diagnosis he immediately stepped into high gear with kindness, softness and compassion. My son wouldn’t sit still for x-rays and since there were no significant concerns he didn’t put him through the stress of trying, stating he didn’t leave my son with a feeling of fear of the dentist. Huge!! This kind of support is not easy to come by and as a mom I was so grateful! My son definitely felt his calm energy because he let him clean his teeth without resistance. Finally the dentist also showered us with calmness and compassion allowing the dentist to get a quick glance inside his little mouth. I am forever grateful for this experience as I was stressed before hand thinking it was going to be a mess. Thank you to the wonderful, knowledgeable and inclusive staff!

I have had the best experience with Dr. Martinez and all the staff at Dentistry 4 Kids. We came from a different pediatric dentist, and it has been such a great decision. The office is inviting for children, the staff take the time to make sure the kids are comfortable, and Dr. Martinez is wonderful at engaging with the kids and parents. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Dentist and team. We were able to take our 3 and 4 year old at the same time and were in and out with cleaning and exam within an hour. Dr. Martinez is very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The exam area is clean, cheerful and overlooks a beautiful pond with lots of birds to keep the kiddos interested. Also, loved the headphones, TVs in the ceilings and sunglasses to help distract. Thanks for a great first visit!!

Every visit has been terrific!
The friendly staff takes every opportunity to make my young child feel at ease, and even respected.
Dr. Martinez gives us real attention and care during each visit.
From the child-friendly environment to details like tv screens mounted in the ceiling above the examination chairs, the entire experience says "fun" to my son.

We receive reminder texts when appointments are due and we can even confirm or cancel, via text, at our convenience.

My child had a dental emergency last summer and the Dr. herself answered the emergency telephone number! Over the phone, Dr. Martinez calmed me down and asked me key questions about the injury. She had me text her photos and called me back immediately to let me know what we should do. It turned out that emergency surgery was needed the following morning.

Dr. Martinez not only came in (early) on her day off, but with an infant and toddler in tow!!
The Dr. gave my son specific care for his fears and his dental needs and even walked us to our car after the procedure. She helped me buckle my son in his booster seat and she gave his nervous Mommy a hug. I've never felt cared for by a Dentist in such a way!

The front office staff helped me plan a payment schedule that our family could afford. We made a series of small payments and by the end of the summer, our bill was paid in full. Anyone who complains about billing with this office is not taking responsibility for their financial obligations and it's obvious that the dental office is not to blame.

Dr. Elaine Martinez and her staff do a great job of making our kids feel extremely comfortable. According to our 8-year-old, she feels like a queen as she gets to watch TV during her "tooth massage." Ha! The team is competent and friendly. Office environment is welcoming and tastefully decorated. (Sometimes I feel like we're under the sea!) There are even video games in the waiting room. Appointments start on time and we know how much is due (if not covered by insurance) before any work is done. There are two offices (Oakleaf and Fleming Island); we visit the Fleming Island location. Monkeys actually are excited (YES!) about cleanings. Dr. Martinez has young kids too, so I truly value her knowledge and practical advice as a skilled pediatric dentist and mother. We're fortunate to have this team in our backyard!
