Took my three year old here for the first time today. They were punctual. They did a cleaning and explained everything to my daughter (the tools they were using and what they were going to do with it). They made her feel very comfortable. Everyone in the office was personable and had a great attitude. The office was clean. She was given a token to pick out a small toy in the front once everything was done. Will definitely be coming back for all of my child’s dental needs and highly recommend to anyone looking for the right dentist for their child.

All 4 of my children have come to this office since their very first dental appointments at 2-3 years old. My youngest is 2 and had his very first appointment today. The hygienist and dentist were so sweet and patient, as usual. They are the very best. All good things!

My kids had such a great time at River city pediatric Dental. Can’t wait to go back in 6 months. Dr Downs is very sweet and patient . The kids stated that it was not a scary experience. Christine at the front desk was also amazing . So glad we picked that office for our kids dental care.

This office has changed so many providers since Dr. Switkes whom was my pediatric dentist and I'm in my late 30's. Having my first child, she was able to experience the attention Dr. Switkes gave his patients which she loved. Well, today, 3 of my children had appointments, 1 at 9:40am, another at 10:10am and the last one at 10:40am - (received several text reminders). On the way to the appointment I had some car troubles. I immediately called the office and informed them that I was going to arrive at 10am because of that. The young lady stops me and says she has to cancel 2 of the appointments because only a 10 min grace period is provided. I'm like how- my text messages state the times provided. She put me on hold, came back and said the oldest and the youngest have to be cancelled. And the 3 year old can't keep his appointment. I told her that's ridiculous, if anything the oldest 14 needs to keep the appointment and the 1 and 3 year old can be cancelled but still don't understand that, because they will be in the seat for a quick second (getting them used to the dentist is my intent). She put me on hold again and said the doctor will see the oldest at 10am. We arrive and I'm annoyed. The doctor let comes out greats the oldest and speaks to me about what to expect for the day. I expressed my frustrations and she said they couldn't take the others because they were booked and short staffed. After my 14 was done, her and the doctor comes out and the doctor starts talking to the 1 year old. Please don't- you didn't have time to look in her mouth don't have time to talk to her now. Honest truth, ever since doctor Switkes and the doctor he sold the business to left, this office cares nothing about building rapport. Over 30 years at this office, what a shame! Left with a doctors note and no I do not need to schedule an appointment for 6 months. Dr. Karen and Staff do better!
