I absolutely love this office. The girls up front are very helpful. We see Ludim Vielman, PA, he is an amazing physician and always hears me out, makes us feel comfortable and explains everything so well. I will continue to go here and refer other parents here as well.

Terrible when it comes to getting forms filled out, dropped off a form said it would take them 24 to 48 hours to get form filled out and give me a call back to pick up. Monday comes around Tuesday comes around no call had a call them said it still wasn’t signed by the provider, another day passes by still no call so I call again they said form still hasn’t been signed. You're going to sit there and tell me that the doctor, any doctor in that office does not have a second to spare to sign a form that has already been filled filled out by the medical assistant? I too work in a medical office and it never takes us this long to get a form filled out and signed. Ridiculous.

We are new in town and thought we should try the local pediatrician to establish a new doctor. Wrong idea! This was the worst experience of my life. I only see female providers and asked 4 times for a female provider for my child before we came in for our appointment. Dr. AYENI, AYODEJI came in and was nice but as soon as he was going to give my daughter a physical exam I told him that I actually requested a female provider and he was trying to persuade me to change my mind. I felt so uncomfortable. He said, he was only there because someone called in sick. Which I understood and was being respectful and said well we can can just come in another day and he said I’m here now and that he had a female provider in the office but he was the pediatrician and they are “Mid grade” because they are NP’s. Red flag. I kept telling him we will just come another day and he was still persuading me to exam my child. He finally got fed up and went to ask a female provider to come in and exam my child. Well the NP wasn’t very friendly and my child was crying and was not having it. So I asked the NP if I can hold my child to comfort her while she exams her because thats what we are use to doing at our other pediatrician office. She told me no. I felt so uncomfortable and left. The only reason I give this place even a star because the front staff were helpful and understanding.

Save your time and make the drive to Bakersfield. I scheduled an appointment several weeks ago and confirmed that they accepted my insurance. Before making the appointment, I verified with Blue Shield that Shafter Pediatrics accepted our insurance. Shafter Pediatrics was listed as an In Network Provider. Once I arrived, they told me they don’t accept Covered California. We simply got our insurance policy through the website and pay an extremely high premium for Blue Shield. But they still would not accept Blue Shield because, “Covered California won’t pay them.” Well Blue Shield would have paid them like they paid the last pediatrician we visited! You would think there would be no charge for vaccinations since they are required for all children. Such a sad experience. Luckily, my child’s original pediatrician is seeing us as soon as Monday - we’ll make the drive to Bakersfield for better service.

I was waiting to go back in a room and I seen a cockroach crawling up the wall. I told the receptionists behind the desks and they just looked at me. I have never seen that at a medical facility. I'm changing my sons pediatrician as we speak!

Shafter Pediactrics is the best Pediactrics there is. I have been to many and nothing is comparing to them. The staff and drs are so great with my 3 kids! When I tell them it’s time to go to the dr they get all excited. Always clean and tidy. The nurses remember myself and kids when we come in and warm welcomes every time. I would NOT recommend any other Pediactrics to anyone but Shafter Pediactrics. Call and make an appointment for your kids and see what I am talking about! When my son went in for snipping his woohoo, I did not cry and freak out because dr Ayeni talked me through it and did not leave me out of any details while he was in the procedure. I felt so greatful for that. I will always give them 5 stars!-Samantha Bassett

Best choice I ever made. Rosa at the front desk is lovely. She is very comprehensive and most importantly, professional. Doctors and nurses are knowledgeable and caring.
