I had a bad experience with a different dentist and am fearful of having dental procedures, especially those in the back of my mouth. I had a few fillings today with Dr.. Kent and it couldn’t have been more smooth and comfortable. They really went out of their way to make sure that I had a good experience. The doctor is very professional and his staff are kind and expert. They have a good and friendly rapport which really lightens the mood when you are feeling nervous. I would definitely recommend Dr Kent and his staff for excellent dental care!

Dr Kent’s, Dental Group, is the best! Not because I haven’t been to anyone else, but the care, and patience his staff takes to insure my well being is top shelf, from cleanings to other procedures, that I have had, everything is done with my absolute comfort in mind. I would like to, also give a shout out to their billing, they’re kind, friendly, and I never feel pressured. 😊

Dr Kent is professional… a straight shooter and does the research for a specific dental plan weigh out many options and procedures to best serve needs and wants.

Very thorough and knowledgeable dentist. Took the time to explain to me everything he was doing or even considering doing in simple words. The dental hygienist, Kay, was hands down the best I have ever seen. Payments and scheduling were a breeze and they took care of everything with my insurance before I even got there. Dr Kent and one of his hygienists, Kay, saw me on Tuesday, January 17th for a consultation and hygiene (dental cleaning) appointment. As always, I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. Kay performed a careful periodontal exam and a meticulous cleaning. She, like Dr Kent, exemplifies kindness, gentleness and is extremely tuned into the patient as she works. She made sure I was comfortable at all times and focused in on areas needing special attention. Dr Kent discussed my status and went over plans for care of certain areas where I have experienced change in my periodontal health, related to some medical issues. I was totally on board and at ease with what he recommended.
I should comment that I have known Dr Kent for approximately 30 years and worked with him on hundreds of patients - I am a retired periodontist, having practiced here in Monterey since early 1989. Dr Kent and I have served on the Board for the Monterey Bay Dental Society for well over 20 years and I am proud to say that he has participated in and in many cases headed a number of community projects - spanning a number of years - where he has provided dental care for underserved populations. He has consistently been an example of leadership, kindness, professionalism and always given his time generously in our community. He also strives to maintain an exceptional awareness of the latest developments in restorative dentistry and is highly skilled in managing a wide variety of needs. Dr Kent and his staff are simply the best!

This was the only doctor in the whole area who agreed to see my daughter on Sunday . She had a severe pain. Doctor was so friendly, kind, sincere. His assistant was holding my daughter’s hand all the time while she was in the chair, they were joking and laughing, while doing injection for my 11- year old daughter. She loooved it. Highly professional and good people . Thank you!
