Superb medicine administered by delightful people. Perfect blend of professionalism and personal attention. If you can imagine periodontic surgery being fun, well, it was. Of course, there was some very minor discomfort with the anesthetic injection, but virtually pain free after that. And the real plus factor is the obvious care and concern of the staff. I would give them 10 stars, but Google only allows 5…..

Dr. Ricardo is an exceptional periodontist, he took the time to make everything go well and make me comfortable during a difficult procedure. Staff is also top notch- highly reccomended on all counts.

This review is for Dr. Raschkovsky. If you’re looking for a capable periodontist who listens to patients and knows how to communicate, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

I came to Dr. Raschkovsky with concerns of gum recession creating a black triangle in my front teeth, and he identified an infection in my front tooth implant. With that first appointment AND OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR, he misled me into believing that we could address the infection and repair the gum site to avoid the black triangle (I.e., gap in between teeth) after the procedure. We did an expensive laser surgery for the infection, which resulted in further gum recession (which he did warn me about), exacerbating the black triangle and making it bigger/more visible. I only moved forward with this surgery because he led me to believe we could fix the black triangle after the gums healed. I brought up my desire to address the black triangle at the first visit and ALL of the subsequent post-op’s (3, 6, 9, 12 month) and NOT ONCE did he say that it would be “impossible” to fix until the 12month follow up. He failed to present all of the options that would help me address my original concern BEFORE accepting payment and performing the procedure. Each time I brought it up, he brushed it off and said we would need to wait for the gums to fully heal, but if a black triangle is impossible to fix with gum grafts, why wouldn’t that be mentioned up front? Why weren’t all of my options laid out when I asked in the beginning? That’s something that should be disclosed up front. For the course of the year, I was under the impression that we could fix the original cause of concern, which was absolutely not the case.

So now I’ve got a periodontal issue that cannot be fixed and has compromised the aesthetic of my smile, in a way where I’m now hesitant to smile, all because Dr. Raschkovsky lacks the foundational competence to listen to a patient’s concerns and communicate the outcomes of a procedure.

If you’re looking for serious periodontal work, avoid him. Plenty of great periodontists in west LA.

Excellent periodontal office! Dr. R is an amazing surgeon, the staff is friendly and the office is very clean and pleasant. There is also ample parking in the neighborhood which makes it very convenient. I highly recommend this office.
