I'd like to start by expressing my appreciation for the dental work I received at this practice; it met all my expectations in terms of quality and care.

However, my experience with their billing process left much to be desired. I was surprised to find I had been overcharged by $174.00 out of pocket for my treatment. It was only upon receiving in the mail a detailed statement and a prompt to contact the office that I became aware of the issue, concerning services rendered in August of 2023.

Upon inquiring about the overcharge, a staff member informed me that it was, in their view, not an actual overcharge but rather a discrepancy due to their billing system's reliance on estimates. This explanation suggested to me that such issues might be common, which is concerning. Further, I was told that there had been an attempt to contact me about my account in August of 2023. However, I had interacted with the office in September of 2023 to schedule services, and no mention of any billing discrepancies was made then. Despite, someone from billing also calling me back in September to make me aware that I was out of insurance coverage for the year, and again, no mention of the overcharge.

While, I am relieved to be receiving a refund, the situation was handled in a way that seemed to unfairly suggest the fault lay with me. This aspect of my experience was disappointing and has somewhat diminished my overall satisfaction with the practice.

My suggestion is to ensure you review any and all charges, to avoid similar situations.

My son was in a lot of pain and when we arrived the Staff and the Dentist were waiting for us. The Staff treatment was awesome. They emailed me the paper the day before and had all paperwork ready for me to review. The Dentist had a video that explained the procedure. It took less than an hour and by the next day my son was back to feeling normal again.

Some 40 years ago I needed a root canal. None since, until now. When I walked into this office, was greeted warmly, taken into a room for x-rays, and then the doctor came in, identified himself, and proceeded with the root canal, explaining as he went along. This was a very easy procedure. The followup was unexpected, but appreciated - calls the next day and even several days later to see if I needed anything and to be sure I was not in any pain. They deserve 5 stars for their greeting, handling of services, and certainly their after-care. I would highly recommend Long Beach Endodontix.

I was a new patient at Long Beach Endodontix. I was there Friday 1/13/23 for a room canal. The doctor and his team were amazing! They went out of their way to take care of me! I was very impressed with how friendly and professional everyone was at the office. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Incredibly expensive. I Paid over $400 and all they did was take some X-rays and a consultation. When they originally performed my root canal, which i am still having problems with, the doctor was having a personal conversation with the helper and i couldn’t help but think if he was doing an adequate job on my root canal while conversing with the girl helping him. I had to hear about their weekend plans and their personal lives the whole time he had his hands in my mouth. It was an awkward situation to say the least. The doctor himself is a very nice and courteous young man. The place is really nice and clean. They obviously have really up to date and nice equipment and a great view from the 3rd floor window.

I'll be quick and short just as my experience with Long Beach Endodontix. I was referred to this office for a root canal. I went in the office around 2:05 and I was out around 2:25. I had some x-ray rays, just to confirm diagnosis from the office I was referred from. Saw a Dr for about 5 minutes. Then I was sent to the receptionist for a treatment plan price. I was very surprised I already had a CONSULTATION FEE of $135.00. (My fault for not asking upfront). I guess they know I am coming back.

Diagnosed a problem in the WRONG TOOTH. Recommended EXTRACTION. I followed my gut, and didn’t do extraction. A month went by, pain returned, went to DIFFERENT Endotontist and had a 25 minute root canal in the CORRECT TOOTH. I would NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

No one likes going to the dentist, especially not for a root canal. But Dr. Hutchens and the entire staff at Long Beach Endodontix were incredible. They were all kind and courteous, check in was easy and swift, and they ensured I was comfortable the entire time. Mind you that I went during the midst of the ongoing COVID crisis - they took the utmost care to protect me and themselves by only allowing one patient in the office at a time, checking temperatures, requiring distancing and the use of hand sanitizer for everyone in the office. I felt safe and cared for here. The procedure was finished in just over an hour for a fairly complicated tooth. Dr. Hutchens made sure that I was in no pain and that I felt no discomfort after the procedure either. While I sincerely hope I do not have to return again, if I needed to, there is nowhere else that I would turn but here.
