Everything about my experience with Dr. Larson, his office and his staff has been spectacular. From my first visit, many years ago, during the holidays when he did an emergency temporary cap for my sister; as she puts it (to this day): A Christmas miracle full of beautiful smiles. 😀

I have since became a ‘regular’ patient and have had a few visits for regular cleanings and some cavity work.

The office itself is gorgeous: an old wooden house full of character, beautifully decorated with charming antique wood cabinets and beautiful plants scattered in and out, huge windows in every space and great skylights to see the red-tailed hawks fly by (actually happened). Other places, by comparison feel cold and harsh. Here I feel welcomed and comfortable; never in a rush to get out…. I’m at the dentist, the daily chores can wait!

Everyone there is highly professional, knowledgeable and insightful. But, equally important, genuinely friendly, accommodating in a warm and welcoming way.

Oh, I mentioned the building’s historical aspect, but the equipment is top notch. X-rays and other high tech gismos are all around. With some luck I’ll never have to find out what that stuff does! 😉

Dr. Larson is a highly intelligent man and highly skilled dentist. His steady but gentle hand provides not only the best dental care I’ve ever received, he also articulates clearly and care-fully all the information to set the mind at ease.

The dental hygienist is the best I’ve ever had work on me. Sure-handed and precise she handles the delicate and potentially uncomfortable task of deep cleaning the long-neglected spaces in my mouth… but with a soft touch that is not overwhelming nor intimidating. She gets the job done in a kind and comforting way. In fact, a PLEASANT experience.

Through, precise, personable, clear explanations of the work to be done, no to low pain injections. In house crowns, no waiting, no second visit. Excellent all around care from cleanings to Sandra at the front desk. Simply the best.

I have been bringing my family to this office for over ten years now. Even though now we have moved across the country, we still go to Dr. Larson for all our dental needs. Recently we drove from the Carolinas to California and they made sure we could get in for our cleaning appointments while we were there. They went above and beyond when we needed some extra appointments for a cracked tooth they found and made sure we could get everything done while we were there for the week. We were in good hands as Sandra coordinated everything between insurance and the visits we needed to ensure we didn't have to worry about anything.

I will continue to make the trip to see Dr. Larson any time we need a dentist visit. I have always been impressed by their professionalism and Dr. Larson always goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort. His skills are exceptional! Sandra helps with any insurance questions you may have and works hard to make sure you can get an appointment when you need it no matter the circumstances!

I have been seeing Dr Larson since I moved to Santa Cruz over 30 years ago. I came into his office with poor dental hygiene and within a year he had transformed me into a person with a clean and shiney smile. Part of my problem was fear of the dentist which kept me from making regular appointments. But Dr. Larson was so gentle, careful to explain things, and a master of distracting me from any discomfort that I never missed another chance to get my teeth cleaned and checked. He and his staff are geared toward prevention and do a fantastic job of training and teaching about optimal self care. And when my 80 year old mother moved here to live closer to me he kept her teeth in good shape and Mom always felt she was treated like a special person. I cannot recommend his team highly enough! Thanks Dr. Larson!

I loved my experience with Dr Larson! The office is beautiful with skylights above the hygienist stations and an indoor water feature in the waiting room. It is a bit chilly in the winter though though, so bring a sweater! Dr. Larson was very kind and charismatic and seems to genuinely care about the overall health of his patients. Because the office is just off downtown it's very convenient, but parking can be a bit of a pain. Book a little extra time to find a place to park and walk or bring quarters to use the nearby parking meters. Shout out to Sandra at the front desk for being so personable and kind!
