It’s my son’s first dental visit today. They made my son feel so comfortable and safe. The staff is very welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. This place is very clean and nice for kids but the most important thing is Dr Jane Zarate, Glea and Jessielyn is awesome. My son came in fearful and nervous, by the time he was to be worked on he was happy and confident that everything was going to be okay. We will definitely be back and will certainly recommend. Thank you Dr Zarate, you made this experience fun and not traumatizing for my son. You all are wonderful.

My family and I have been looking for a family dentist eversince we migrated to the US. Someone who is not just competent but has great bedside manners as well. Thankfully, upon researching, my husband found out about Dr. Jane Kenneth Zarate.

In terms of qualifications, she graduated with special honors at Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in Loma Linda University, International Dentist Program. More importantly, she is a dentist who has a heart. She is compassionate and understanding of the needs of her patient. And this counts a lot, when one truly cares, it says a lot about their personality.

With regard to facilities, the clinic is clean and big (5 dental chairs and well-lighted). It even has an arcade available for kids and even kids at heart. The clinic also follows strict COVID precautions. We were required to present our COVID vaccination cards, temperature was checked, mask was required, and social distancing were practiced. Also, I was given special glasses during the dental procedure. The equipment and apparatus were well -sterilized ( I am very particular about this especially during this time).

Moreover, the receptionist (Jessie) is friendly and detailed when giving instructions, same as for Cat (dental hygieniest).

My first dental visit with Dr. Jane Kenneth Zarate is truly worth it (especially when you're paying out of pocket). It is worth the 5hr drive (from LA to the Bay). Despite of the long drive, I felt like I was cared for as a patient and would definitely entrust the dental health of my family with her.

When we left, we were also handed nice tshirts. What more can I ask for? If you are searching for a good dentist in terms of competency and bedside manners, give Dr. Jane Kenneth Zarate a try.

Dr. Jane and her staff are so professional and caring. They take care of the patients the minute they step in with a welcoming smile and greetings. Dr. Jane Zarate is an excellent dentist. She extracted the root of a broken tooth and grafted the jaw bone. Then she fixed my denture.
I highly recommend Dr. Zarate for all your dental needs.

I personally cannot trust this dentist anymore and won't be going back.

I went in for a cleaning and a checkup, dentist told me one of the molar tooth need filling replacement. I did it, and started experiencing teeth sensitivity that lingered for more than 6 weeks. Dentist said it was normal to have temporary tooth sensitivity after filling, so I didn't pay much attention to it until the symptoms severely worsened after 2 months. I ended up needing a root canal.

There was no direct evidence that my severe sensitivity (irreversible pulpitis) is related to the filling treatment, but given the timing, it's hard for me to say it's totally unrelated either. The tooth had prior filling, but no sign of severe dental decay and gum disease. No trauma on the tooth either.
I have an impression that it's possible the filling wasn't done properly and a micro crack was present, causing this chaos.

In addition, out of my 28 teeth, the dentist highlighted more than half of them needing filling or filling replacement. I've been going to dentist regularly (~once every 6 months before I moved to the area) and it's hard for me to believe suddenly my teeth conditions got this bad just in a few months.

4/27- Cleaning and check up
5/31- Filling for 4 teeth on the lower left (bite pain happened on the last tooth and couldn't floss between the other two teeth)
6/3- Went back to dentist to clear excessive filling to resolve flossing issue. Did minor bite adjustment to address bite pain
~6/7- Bite pain gone
Jun~Aug- tooth still has minor sensitivity when drinking/eating cold stuff
8/8- Severe bite pain and high sensitivity to cold
8/14- Went back to dentist to do minor bite adjustment, got referral to endodontist
8/22- Endodontist recommend root canal
9/10- Root canal done

I got my braces done here, and the results are fantastic. From regular cleanings to fillings, they've consistently provided high-quality care.
