The Dentist is very patient, compassionate and explains the process in detail. I am very anxious, but he has the ability to make me feel comfortable and I trust his work. This review is long overdue. Dr. Takashi has been taking care of me for 8 years. He is a wonderful, experienced dentist who takes great care in his patients. He does his work thoughtfully and with skill - I have a lot of confidence in his technique. I love my cleanings from Hisako, and his office has a really friendly team, including Diane, Liz, and Nancy.

They make me feel very safe during covid -patients are given gowns, gloves, shoe covers, and hair coverings too. Their team is suited up and I see them change gowns between patients.

Dr. Takashi stands out as a dentist who truly cares about his patients and wants the best for them, and this is reflected in his work and his advice. He is a very genuine dentist and person. He and all his team does treat you like family. I am so glad I found them and have so much appreciation for taking care of me - thank you Dr. Takashi!

It has always been easy to schedule an appointment, they are always ready for me when I show up, the staff is always extremely pleasant, and the dental work is very thorough, gentle and they explain everything as they are working.

Best dental experience I've ever had in my life! Dr.Shigehara will listen to you and tell you what your needs and what options are. There are 4 car reserved parkings in downtown San Mateo, which is very combinient. Please contact them if they take your insurance. Since my insurance website did not show Dr.Shigehara, but they DO take my insurance. I wish I knew sooner.

I've been switching dentists for years since my childhood dentist retired, jumping from dentist to dentist. Having had dozens of cavities (literally) and several root canals, I never felt completely comfortable with any of the dentists I went to. After visiting Dr. Takashi, I finally feel that I found my go-to dentist! He is super knowledgeable, doesn't make recommendations in treatment that are unnecessary, and I truly feel he has your best interest in mind. I've had to get 2 root canal retreatments from prior dentists who didn't bother to recommend me to a good ortho and did the procedure themselves and ended up with an infection in the surrounding tissue since they didn't clean it up well. His recommendation to a good ortho helped me from further infection that my prior dentists didn't catch.

He always consider for patient with deep thought and very gentle well care person.
Also he keeps polish and brush up the most advanced dentistry remedy method as the dentist, I respected his continues learning passion as a person.
Strongly recommend to go the clinic, never regret for sure!!
The staff in the clinic are very friendly and nice, they are always smile and be nice to all patient.
