The short of it is the dentist here is upsell-first focused and client well-being second which is a huge red flag and unethical.

In my first visit, she immediately said my teeth were yellow and I should get my teeth whitened (they're normal white) and didn't miss a beat following that saying I needed to come back for a deep cleaning (over $300) after seeing her "AI x-ray" and without looking at my gums.

I've never had any dentist tell me I needed deep cleaning, so I immediately requested my x-rays (the receptionist is very accommodating and friendly), found another dentist, and waited to get 2 separate dental opinions before writing this to make sure it was fair.

I got confirmation my teeth were fine and a deep cleaning is fine if I want it but I was far from needing one contrary to what the A+ Dental dentist stated.

I would not recommend this office. Let me start by saying the receptionist is as rude as can be. I don’t understand why some people seem to hate what they do.

First, I made an appointment, and they called me the same day to reschedule. Fine, things happen, and I tried to accommodate. I rescheduled my appointment for today at 12 PM. When I entered the office, I greeted the staff, but didn’t even receive a "hi" back. I only heard, "I will check you in," without being asked for my name.

After waiting 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging my presence or informing me that they were running behind, I stood up and expressed that waiting without any updates was unacceptable. The receptionist was dismissive, barely making eye contact.
Finally, someone called my name. When I entered the room, the assistant said, "We are busy, you know." I responded that everyone is busy, but it’s important to acknowledge the person waiting and at least say, "We’re running late, we apologize." She didn’t respond.

When the doctor came in, she apologized and said, "I'm sorry, I didn’t know you were here; nobody told me." Clearly, there’s a communication issue in this office.
I have to say the doctor was very nice, but she needs to address these issues if she wants to keep her practice running smoothly. As a pregnant patient, I expected at least a bit of extra consideration, but that was lacking.
One thing is for sure: I am NOT coming back and will be changing my dentist. And to the receptionist: I hope you find a job that you actually enjoy.

After 6months of being shuffled from dentist to endodontist,to oral surgeon, to periodontist, to endodontist, I finally got some forward progression, the hygienist was patient with my gag reflex, and used tricks to help that, the descaling and laser on some necrotic tissue had instant relief that evening. Never needed tylenol.

I really love Dra Vergel De Dios (Dr V) She is so nice and sweet and make u feel comfortably all the time! If you are afraid of Dentists, she definitely will create a wonderful experience for u!!! She is always on time with the treatment and will give u a lot advices to take care of your teeth!
The staff is so nice and will help a lot if you have any questions about your insurance or about treatment!

Dr. Soriano just gave me the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist’s office. I have extreme anxiety when going to dentists: I usually shake, hyperventilate, and cry dating back to when I was a toddler. Now I’m 26, and I walked in (a bit embarrassed) with my mom, stuffed animal, and blanket to support me while I got three cavities filled. Dr. Soriano immediately made me feel welcome and didn’t judge at all. In fact, she even offered me a stress ball, tinted goggles and a lead apron to make me feel extra comfortable. She even tucked me in with my blanket and kept talking to the stuffed bunny I brought throughout the appointment which made me smile (as much as I could with my mouth propped open)! Her whole demeanor was so kind, funny, and warm. She always checked in with me to make sure I was doing ok and narrated what she was doing which also helped me be calm. Ive had dentists who needed to go back 3-4 times to Novocain me again and again when they started drilling and I screamed in pain. Not here! I was perfectly numbed. I completely trusted her and felt so safe and secure in her presence that for the first time ever, I did not have an anxiety attack while at the dentist!! Heck, I would probably have the confidence to go skydiving over shark-infested waters with this woman. If you are an anxious adult who acts like a big baby at the sound of a drill, look no further. This is the place for us!! I need to go back in a couple weeks to fill a cavity on the other side… and I will tell my mom she can stay home, because I know I’ll be able to do it alone next time.

Due to an insurance change, I needed to find a new dentist. I felt very well taken care of at this San Mateo location!
