Espire Dental is great! I've been going with my partner Rebecca for around a year now and the office is very friendly. Aimee is my hygienist, and I had a lot of trauma with dentists growing up and she is super kind and gentle and always checking in to make sure I'm comfortable. They are always working to stay up-to-date on the latest dental tech which I really appreciate. Dr. Rob is also super friendly and personable and makes the visits a breeze. I'd highly recommend them for anyone with the same background of dental anxiety as myself because Espire gives 110% to make sure you feel comfortable and welcome 🙂

My partner and I have been coming to Espire Dental (Mission Valley) for around a year now and we absolutely love it here. I'll give my first impressions and how it compares to now:

First Impressions: Very clean and tidy space, welcoming and warm environment. Front desk staff are kind and knowledgeable. Hygienists, techs and Drs are all patient and friendly. The atmosphere in the back is calm and professional.

My hygienist is Aimee and my dentist is Dr. Rob Frey. I absolutely love both of them. Aimee is super sweet and gentle, she's constantly making sure I'm comfortable and the anxiety and pain is minimal with her working on me. Dr. Rob is so knowledgeable about dentistry and is able to very easily convey what's going on and what the treatment plans will be. They're both so friendly and communicating with them is such an ease.

My partner has severe dental anxiety and they made his deep clean treatment very tolerable with their option of oral conscious sedation. Even after that he's been a lot more comfortable with going in for regular cleanings. They're extremely accommodating and allowed me to come into the back and sit with him too. The anxiety is still there but staff work really hard to make sure he's as comfortable as possible.

As a career scientist, I love that they have newer technology in the practice. I've been with a lot of old school dentists and I really like how Espire keeps up with the newest and effective researched backed technology to make the experience more efficient.

Their pricing is extremely fair and they're transparent about all charges prior to beginning any treatment. And they're happy to answer any and all questions I've had regarding payments and treatments.

After a whole year of coming for treatment for my and my partner's periodontal issues I can say with confidence that nothing has changed from my initial impressions save for becoming friendlier and more well acquainted to our dental team.

For anyone looking for a really great, really friendly staff in the Mission Valley I would come here. To start off Reese was so nice and made the whole experience that much better as it made me remember the experience. Also to see them use newer technology as a tool was something that I really liked about this place. Rob was also amazing and actually got to know me. Highly recommend coming here as this was by far the best dentist experience I’ve had

My hygienist Amy was great! She’s very professional and meticulous in her exam and cleaning technique.

Can’t say enough about Dr. Scott as he’s a great listener, very sharp dentist, and has the ability to explain things for the average person to understand. He’s also pretty funny which helps to maintain a relaxed environment during an exam/procedure.

Absolutely incredible experience! I came in for an emergency tooth chip and within 40 min the team was able to make my tooth brand new!! Better than before! I was dumbstruck at the genius of the whole team. 10/10 the best dentist I have ever been to.

Ive never been to a dentist office thats tried to sell me on so many things. Reminiscent to getting my oil changed. First appointment took more than 90 minutes and im 36 years old with no dental issues if that says anything. Every 4 month check-ups, special tooth paste, special tooth brush, unnecessary fillings, blah blah blah. If that wasnt enough, i then got charged for preventative coverage that my insurance clearly covers per the policy. Beware future clients!

I found espire online while specifically looking for an LBGTQIA+ friendly dental office. And they went above and beyond!! Took the time to make sure they used my preferred name and pronouns, made me feel so comfortable, and then did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth.

Thank you all so much, I know I’ve finally found a home where I can take care of my teeth long term.
