I have always had excellent dental treatment and services at Cros Dental. I have been going to them for seven years now. I appreciate the qualifications and expertise Dr. Ray and Dr. Sheri offer in their practice. I highly recommend them for all things dental. Staff is very professional, friendly and accommodating. Its nice that they always give pricing before services.

Dr. Cross and his staff have offered me the finest dental health care that I have ever experienced. Ray is simply the best! And his staff are always so kind and professional. I have always taken good care of my teeth, flossing and brushing twice a day for over 50 years. However, recently I unfortunately needed emergency attention given to an infection in my mouth and Ray was there to help. He even rescheduled an entire morning caseload to work on me when I was in dire need of his expert services. I will be forever grateful for him and his wonderful staff!

I'm not an easy dental patient. I've gone to several dentists in the area, some highly rated some not so much. I have horrible dental anxiety even during regular visits when just x-rays are done. Cros dental has been extremely patient with me and so caring. Dr. Cros sits with you and just talks, about what needs to be done and random things in life. He's funny, caring and takes time to get to know you. I've started the process of restoring my dental health and so far it has been a very good experience. I can't believe I finally found an office that patiently deals with my anxiety and my asking questions at top speed. Thank you to everyone at Cros Dental. I can't wait to see how great my smile looks after everything is done!

I can't stop smiling! .... every time I leave Cros Dental. Doctors Cros (Mr. & Mrs.) generously provide up to date state of the art dental care in a friendly, caring and informative atmosphere. I'd like to add that the novocaine injections are gentle and pain free, and that's a good thing! The dental hygienists are fantastic! The office support staff are kind, and obviously love their work, and helping you. I cannot recommend Cros Dental enough.

As a former UCLA dental student (decades ago), I only go to the best dentists I can find. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Ray Cros and Dr. Sheri Cros for over 11 years. So have many of my relatives. Dr. Ray and Dr. Sheri are the best dentists I’ve ever had. Their work is impeccable, as are their concerns for their patients. I often have tough dental issues. Drs. Cross are so technically competent they handle these issues with ease. Dr. Ray has several degrees and certifications. He teaches all over the state. And Drs. Cros are always using the most advanced dental technology available. Finally, they work with other specialists (endodontists, periodontists, etc.) that are also the best. I’ve had great success with their specialists.

The dental staff (assistants, hygienists, techs) are also excellent and trained exceptionally well. They are always concerned about your comfort and pain level with any procedure.

The office staff is also extraordinary. They are not only friendly but extremely transparent. When you see Drs. Cros, be prepared to sign a ton of documents. Every required and suggested procedure includes the cost, potential costs, etc. And they’ve already contacted my insurance company and have the copays and costs listed with and without my insurance, as well as how much of the maximum limit my insurance company has left to pay.

The dental treatments provided by Dr. Cros are fine, but what caused me and my household to stop using their services were their billing practices. Upon check-in, I was asked to sign an estimate that lacked any explanation. Some of the additional services listed, which were not covered by insurance, included fluoride treatment and cancer screening. These charges were never discussed beforehand, and I had to inquire about each one. When I asked to have them removed, it felt like a burden for the receptionist, who simply used white-out rather than printing a new estimate. This brought the total for my standard cleaning down to zero.

While waiting in the lobby, I noticed the next patient was given the same estimate. This patient questioned the cancer screening charge, asking why it was necessary since she had just had it during her last visit. The receptionist huffed, checked the medical chart, and then agreed to remove the charge. Had the patient not noticed this, the unnecessary test would likely have been administered and charged.

To my surprise, a few weeks later, I received a much larger bill than expected for my cleaning, x-rays, and exam. I called the next day and was told that my insurance did not cover the full amount. Having never had to pay additional out-of-pocket costs for these services before, I asked if my insurance had been verified prior to my visit. There seemed to be confusion about my specific plan. I was told my policy was out of network but “semi out of network,” meaning some charges were covered in-network. This left me confused, so I contacted my insurance company directly. They clarified that I was indeed in-network, but my policy was a tiered plan. The charges from Dr. Cros’s office were based on contracted fees outside of my specific tier.

With this new information, I called the clinic again. They said they would reach out to the insurance company to see if anything could be done. A week went by with no follow-up, so I called again and spoke to someone else. I explained the situation once more, and was put on hold while they researched the matter. They later told me more research was needed, and I would receive a call back by the end of the day. Tomorrow will be day 7, and I still haven’t received that call. It’s clear my insurance wasn’t properly verified prior to my visit, and this lack of clarity has caused ongoing confusion with the billing.

While I intend to pay what I owe, I need a physician’s office that takes the necessary steps to prevent surprises like this in the future.

I had been looking for a dental office who would listen and be “gentle”. I also needed to have Nitrous gas as an option. Cros Dental has it all ! Expert work, considerate to my concerns, and always professional while being very friendly. Never have I had a crown fit so seamlessly that there was no pain at all. The entire office staff (front to back) are truly kind and caring ! I would recommend their office to anyone looking for a change !
