I was referred to Dr. Klauser at Arcadia Perio Care by my wonderful dentist, Dr. Q, for gum graft surgery. Dr. Klauser's team, from Diana at the front desk to Brett assisting during surgery, is exceptional. They are friendly, efficient, and highly competent.

During our first meeting, Dr. Klauser clearly explained the two areas needing care and the procedure involved. Due to her high demand, the surgery was scheduled three months out.

On the day of surgery, Diana checked me in quickly, and Brett made me comfortable in the room. Dr. Klauser explained the procedure again and, since I'm curious, even narrated each step as she worked. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

I was locally anesthetized and relaxed with nitrous oxide, but remained conscious throughout the surgery. Everything went smoothly. Afterward, Dr. Klauser even texted me about my concern regarding my nightly retainer. She scheduled a last-minute appointment to adjust it, ensuring I wouldn't be without them for too long.

The team also went out of their way to help me separate my two procedures into two calendar years to maximize my insurance benefits. While their level of care is exceptional, I have a feeling this is how they treat every patient. I feel taken care of.

I was referred to Dr. Klauser by my dentist Peter Lee. Before seeing her, I had a mix feeling whether or not I would do the gum crafting (I'm in my late 30s). After seeing Dr. Klauser, I was educated about the diagnosis and treatment. She took her time to explain everything in detail that I need to know before the procedure. She even strongly recommended every woman to check their vitamin D levels and bone density; and take supplements routinely for bone and teeth health.

I’ve been seeing Dr Klauser since 2009 since I was diagnosed with TMJD (unfortunately not long after I had my wisdom teeth removed). Recently she did a bone graft and gum graft on 4 teeth since I lost bone from my maxillary expansion (Marpe). I was more nervous about my mouth having to be open during surgery than the actual surgery. Dr klauser made it extremely comfortable for me. Brett used a cheek retractor so that I wouldn’t have to open my mouth so wide and she put gauze underneath my lips to decompress the muscles of my face. Coincidentally I had to take prednisone prior to surgery for hives that were caused by allergy shots, but it worked out because I barely had any pain after the surgery!! And swelling! Dr klauser honestly made the experience so comfortable and she even opened up a Saturday so I can have surgery since I needed this done before I start my new job! Dr klauser has really been amazing and has been with me every step of the day throughout my tmjd/airway journey. She listens and I love sharing with her what I learn. Highly recommend!

I was referred to Dr. Klauser by my dentist multiple times over the course of 10 years to get gum grafting done behind my bottom 4 front teeth. Because I was terrified at the sound of such a procedure, I decided to just wait it out in hopes that my recession wouldn’t get worse… Fast forward 10 year, my dentist told me I really should stop putting this off and just DO IT!

One week ago today I went in for my procedure. Dr. Klauser discovered that not only did I have recessed gums, but also significant bone loss. My teeth were on the verge of falling out completely. Yikes!

When she told me how bad it was and how she needed to change the game plan to fix my bone, gums and ultimately save my teeth, I was soooo nervous for the recovery. Much to my surprise, I had no real pain the entire recovery. She sent me home with a steroid for the swelling, an antibiotic to prevent infection and a pain med (this one I never took). I ended up just using regular Motrin and Tylenol for the discomfort. The worst part of the whole thing was the feeling of the stitches after the protective bandage fell off. The whole recovery was a dream compared to what I’d expected. It was mostly like a headache in my mouth, very manageable.

I feel like an idiot for waiting to do this, but feel so lucky Dr. Klauser took care of me and saved my teeth. She’s an amazing doctor. Oh and she is a really cool person to boot!
