I had an emergency and Dr Chan was so helpful. He understood my urgency and squeezed me in even though they were very busy. My tooth was done poorly from previous dentist and I could tell Dr Chan was very skillful. He is also very honest and explained everything clearly so I can understand the problem and procedure that I didn’t know before. I also didn’t feel anything when he was working on my back molar. I am referring all my friends to Dr. Chan. I highly recommend him.

I stopped going to Balentine Dental when I was diagnosed with cancer a few years back. When I went back this year, I found out that Dr. Cheng was no longer there. Dr. Cheng was so good and very nice. And no bad experience with him at all.
Sometime in June I had a surgery for bone grafting from another specialist because I am getting an implant. Balentine was the one who made my temporary flipper while waiting for my gum to heal. They were not able to make me the correct flipper from the very first time I tried it. My surgery took an hour but because my flipper won’t fit, I had to go back to Balentine and spent almost half day just for them to make it right. I went back and forth, 5 times and this last time last week, they still didn’t make it fit right. And they just texted me and said they will give me a refund. In short, they just dropped me like that. They referred me to another specialist to do a temporary crown because they think that my issue is that I AM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH MY FLIPPER. It is uncomfortable I am not going to deny that but the main issue is THEY NEVER MADE IT FIT RIGHT. So disappointing and frustrating. My whole family goes there including my siblings .

Do not go there. Especially don't take your kids there. After the office changed from Dr. Cheng to Dr. Chan, the management team was terrible and rude. In 2021, they forced my 8 years old daughter to do an x-ray without my presence and approval. I was in another room to do cleaning, and without waiting for me, they roughly and carelessly did an x-ray for my daughter, which created a lot of pain and fear for her. Since then, she refused to do an x-ray in their office. However, they only care about money without thinking about improving their skills. They pushed my daughter and me to do X-rays even though we didn't want to and didn't need to. The front desk and the office were very rude at first, telling us they can not do the cleaning because we refused to do the x-ray. I said you can not refuse me when I was already here. You should tell me before you ask me to come. Then they threatened that the doctor could not check for me because I didn't take the x-ray. I asked them to give me the policy on why the doctor cannot check up if I don't take the x-ray. They even threatened me that they are in a union, so I cannot find other dentist if I don't take x-ray with them...
At last, doctor chan still came, and he told me he only needed my x-ray. I said that would be no problem; I could do it. However, when I was leaving, the front desk and the office still insisted my daughter needed to do the x-ray. They lacked the proper skill for children; it is so shameful that they don't care. Dr. Chan was fine, but the team needed to improve their customer service skill instead of exaggerating and scaring the patient to make money. Again, cleaning was rough and painful, and the office and front desk lack of respect, all about money.

Dr Cheng is great! I know looking for a good and caring dentist is a difficult thing to do. I really had a good experience with him and his staff members. I felt like he cared more about the health of my teeth instead of recommending something so he can get more money out of my wallet. And he was very very thorough. Good job guys!
